MINI-CHALLENGE 3: SHORT VIDEO
RANK
Saturday, 20 August 2016
We
started with 3-4 thoughts in our mind to solve the problem of Healthy Ageing.
First we thought of bringing the old age people of same town together by any
digital means. Secondly we thought of connecting the orphan age and old age
home by having a meet between elderly people and small children which would
make them happy. Then we concluded our theme by targeting the retired persons
and making a prototype of the application which would include some games, jobs
or they can write their incomplete wishes which can be completed by someone
interested. We basically divided our app in three parts:
I
Wished: For Mental Satisfaction
Games:
For Entertainment
Jobs:
For Economic Stability
MINI CHALLENGE 2: THE
PROBLEM SPACE
We are focusing on the need of verbal social
interaction among the elderly people which is the main cause of loneliness
among them. 51% of elderly people around
the world are lonely. The elders who live alone mainly has the need of verbal social
interaction. The need is not addressed because most of the current existing
designs concentrate on the virtual social interaction.
The solution to this problem is that we want to slightly
manipulate the current social websites and work hand in hand with them such
that there will not be only virtual interaction but also meeting in person like
celebrating their birthdays or festivals together, etc.
